From major weather events to oil booms and busts, resiliency defines Houston. And the Houston Business Unit fits the bill. Over 9 years ago when Alston Construction opened the Houston office, they were challenged with one of the city’s most complex projects at the time, Beltway Crossing. With extensive sitework (including complex flood zone mitigation requirements), a tight budget, and fast schedule, our team worked hard to successfully open the project, which ultimately won the Houston Business Journal’s Project of the Year award. This milestone project set the tone for what is now the office’s success with clients such as UPS, Lovett Industrial, DOW Chemical, and Amazon. The Houston office continues to have plenty of opportunities to grow and improve their processes, and their resilient history has built a foundation for continued success.
